The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Board is to make studies and project plans for the improvement and acquisition of public parks and open spaces with a view to its development and extension; to recommend to council recreation programs for all segments of the population; to act with and assist other municipal boards in formulating proper plans for the municipal park and open space development.
Appointments are made by the City Council.
