Animal Advisory Committee
The purpose of this committee is to assist the city in complying with the requirements of V.T.C.A., Health and Safety Code ch. 823, which regulates the operation of local government animal shelters.

Audit Committee
The Audit Committee serves as a communications link between the City’s outside auditors and the City Council.

Beautification Board
The Haltom City Beautification Board devises programs to improve the quality of life in Haltom City by involving citizens in cleanup, beautification, and revitalization efforts, encouraging economic development by making the community a better place in which to live and work.

Bond Committee
The City Council has appointed a Bond Committee, whose purpose is to educate and inform residents on the Special Election: Bond Proposition A - Construction of City Hall.

Charter Review Committee
The Charter Review Committee was created to review portions of the City Charter and to report to the City Council recommendations for amendments, if any.

Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission serves as a board of appeals for suspended or aggrieved sworn employees, operating under the authority of Article XI of the City Charter.

Crime Control & Prevention District
The major purpose of the seven-member Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) is to fight and prevent crime within Haltom City.

Ethics Commission
The Commission shall meet at least once each year and meet as necessary in response to an ethics complaint.

Fire Services Board
Members of the Fire Services Board work to improve fire safety by providing information and giving direction to the community through fire safety programs and education.

Hearings Board
The purpose of the Hearings Board is to hear and review orders, decisions or determinations made by the building official relative to the application and interpretations of the code.

Housing Authority
The Housing Authority is responsible for the administration of Federal Public Housing in the City of Haltom City.

Library Board
The Haltom City Library Board aids in policy development, long-range planning, special events development, and promotion of library services.

Parks & Recreation Board
The purpose of the Parks & Recreation Board is to make studies and project plans for the improvement and acquisition of public park and open spaces with a view to its development and extension; to recommend to council recreation programs for all segments of the population; to act with and assist other municipal boards in formulating proper plans for municipal park and open space development.

Planning & Zoning Commission
The purpose of the Planning & Zoning Commission is to consider plats, hold public meetings on zoning and rezoning, and make recommendations to Council; acts as an advisory board and has such duties and powers as specified by the laws of the State of Texas, the City charter and ordinances.

Public Facility Corporation
The Corporation is organized for the purpose of financing, refinancing, or providing a public senior housing facility for and on behalf of the City of Haltom City, Texas, a duly organized City of the State of Texas.

Sign Board of Appeals
The purpose of the Sign Board of Appeals is to grant variances from size, spacing, height, set-back, location and other requirements of the ordinance, both as to off-premises and on-premises signs.

Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Board
The Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) Board shall make recommendations to the City Council concerning the administration, management, and operation of the designated reinvestment zone.

Veterans Memorial Committee
A Veterans Memorial Committee is created and established (R-2016-009-01) to explore possible locations and designs and make recommendations to the City Council on the feasibility and costs for creating and installing a memorial garden/park area to commemorate Haltom City veterans.

Zoning Board of Adjustments
The purpose of the Zoning Board of Adjustments (ZBA) is to hear and decide cases where it is alleged there is an error in any requirement, decision, or determination made by the zoning ordinance or the building official in the enforcement of the ordinances and has the power to establish public notice and hearing to alter previous action in such matters.
