Water/Sewer '17-'18 Rate Change

haltom city utility billingThe citizens of Haltom City will notice an increase in their water and sewer rates as a result of cost increases from its supplier, the City of Fort Worth. Effective October 1, 2017, the fiscal year 2017-2018 water rates have increase by 8%. This increase is strictly related to the cost of water purchased from the City of Fort Worth.

Because the Haltom City realizes the importance of its citizens to monitor water use, the City will employ the complete suite of FATHOM's water management platform. The new Smart Grid for water uses Advanced Metering Infrastructure technology to remotely collect near-real-time water meter data. This new service, implemented in 2018, will result in no additional costs to our citizens It will improve how citizens are able to monitor their water use.
