haltom city spray zone july 2 3 2018Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) has confirmed the presence of West Nile Virus (WNV) in a mosquito sample collected in the following area within the City of Haltom City: Placid Drive

Weather permitting (wind speeds must be under 10 mph), Haltom City will spray the location and surrounding area indicated at right on Monday, July 2, 2018. Ground spraying will be between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. the following morning. If spray conditions are favorable the City will spray the area again on July 3rd.

Haltom City reminds residents of the importance of taking personal protective measures to safeguard against the West Nile Virus. Residents should routinely dump standing water on their property, use repellent and cover their extremities from dusk to dawn. Haltom City has compiled a list of ways You Can Protect Yourself from mosquito-borne illnesses

Carson St. Bridge Closure

Closed for Approximately One Year Starting November 13, 2017

haltom city public works The next phase of the Little Fossil Creek Improvements Project will require the closure of Carson St. under State Hwy 121. Beginning Monday, November 13, 2017, Carson St. under SH 121 will remain closed for approximately 10 months to a year.

The northbound (NB) & southbound (SB) Carson St. detours will be as follows:

  • Northbound Carson St. traffic will be required to turn right onto the northbound SH 121 frontage road. If NB Carson St. traffic wants to head towards Fort Worth, this traffic can take the “Texas U-Turn” at Minnis Dr. to access the southbound SH 121 frontage road.
  • Southbound Carson St. traffic will be required to turn right onto the southbound SH 121 frontage road. If SB Carson St. traffic wants to head towards Richland Hills, Hurst, Arlington, etc., this traffic can take the “Texas U-Turn” at Hickory Dr. to access the northbound SH 121 frontage road.

The frontage roads will be open; however, there may be times during construction where a portion of a frontage road will need to be closed. Advanced notice will be given here when this is scheduled to occur.

Cotton Belt Rail Line Construction

Intersection will be Affected Throughout the Summer

The railroad crossing across Janada St., between Glenview Dr. & Stanley-Keller Rd., is being double-tracked. Traffic conditions for motorists will change between mid-August thru Late-September (weather permitting). The following change is anticipatedtex rail cotton belt

  • From August 14th thru late September/October, Janada St. will be closed at its railroad crossing between Stanley-Keller Road and Glenview Drive
  • From August 19-22, Old Denton Road at the Meacham Road intersection will be closed temporarily for TEXRAIL work
