Roy Avery Hord

April 16, 1974 – December 9, 2018

roy hordOn December 9, 2018, we lost one of our most treasured city employees, Roy Avery Hord. Roy served Haltom City for over 22 years. He started as a Maintenance Worker and through the years was promoted to numerous positions, including Crew Leader, Construction Inspector, Water Production Operator and Water Production Supervisor.

Roy would do anything he could to help others. His kindness, positivity and humble nature were obvious to anyone who encountered him. He was known for his sense of humor, gregarious personality and the biggest of smiles.

Please join me in sending thoughts and prayers to Roy’s family and friends, so that they may find strength and comfort during this most difficult time. Roy will be greatly missed by his fellow employees and the Haltom City community at large.

May God Bless Roy and his family. Visitation and funeral service information can be found here.

Respectfully and Sincerely,

David Averitt
