Mosquito Sample Positive for WNV - July 2020
Tarrant County Public Health has confirmed the presence of the West Nile Virus (WNV) in a mosquito sample collected in the following area(s) within Haltom City limits: Placid Drive.
Weather permitting, ground spraying will take place within a half-mile of the trap collection site the evenings of Monday, July 13, and Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Activity will occur between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. both nights while mosquitoes are active and winds are low.
Haltom City reminds residents of the importance of taking personal protective measures to safeguard against the West Nile Virus. Residents should routinely dump standing water on their property, use repellent and cover their extremities from dusk to dawn.
