Major Collision – 5000 SH 121, Northbound
On Saturday, November 21, 2020, at 6:30 p.m., Haltom City officers responded to a report of an automobile versus pedestrian collision in the main lanes of 5000 SH 121 northbound. A witness on scene said he saw a white female (unknown age) lying in the roadway. The witness said he stopped and called 911. The witness said it appeared the female was alive and lying in the middle of the roadway when he stopped to call 911. While he was on the phone with the 911 operator, he attempted to get the attention of oncoming drivers but was unsuccessful, and the female was struck by several passing vehicles. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by MedStar Ambulance. Traffic Investigators were called to the scene to conduct their investigation. All northbound lanes of SH 121 at Haltom Road are expected to be closed for an extended amount of time while the investigation is conducted. The female will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner once notification has been made to the family members.
