Pursuit/Major Collision – 6125 E. Belknap St.
On Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 3:55 a.m., Haltom City Officers attempted to stop a gray 2018 Kawasaki motorcycle which was reported stolen from Lewisville. The operator and back passenger of the motorcycle failed to stop, and a short pursuit was initiated eastbound in the 5600 block of Webster from Denton Highway. The motorcycle continued eastbound on Webster through the neighborhood. At the intersection of Willowcrest and Broadway, the motorcycle went southbound through the parking lot of the Birdville Stadium, 6125 E. Belknap. While going through the parking lot, the motorcycle struck a speed bump, and the operator and passenger were ejected from the motorcycle. Neither the operator nor the passenger was wearing a helmet. The 34-year-old male operator was taken by MedStar ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries. The 31-year-old female passenger was taken to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth with life threatening injuries. Traffic investigators and Crime Scene personnel were called to the scene to conduct their investigation. Any charges will be determined after their initial investigation is complete.
