Robberies
On Tuesday, July 7, 2020 and Wednesday, July 8, 2020, Haltom City had two robberies occur that we believe involved the same suspects:
On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at approximately 5:20 p.m. Haltom City officers responded to the 3100 block of Glenda Ave in reference to a robbery. The victim was an electrician working at a residence on the street and was in his car waiting for the other workers to arrive. Two males approached his vehicle on foot and ordered him out of the vehicle at gunpoint. The two suspects got into the car and fled the area. The victim said the suspect with the gun was wearing a mask and black jacket with a hood. The victim did not have a good description of the second suspect. Surveillance footage from the residence shows the suspects were dropped by a dark colored Chrysler 300 sedan with large, star shaped rims. The suspects appear to both be Hispanic males. The victim’s vehicle is a dark silver 2012 Toyota Camry (Texas license plate BGB8647) with a shattered rear window.
On Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at approximately 11:30 a.m., we received report of a robbery at 1718 Haltom Rd., Doc’s Food Store #7. Witnesses described two Hispanic males enter the store, one armed with handgun and demanding money. They fled the store and were observed getting into a silver Toyota Camry with Texas license plate BGB8647, the vehicle stolen from the previous robbery, and being followed by a dark colored Chrysler 300 with large, star shaped rims. They were last seen getting on northbound Highway 121.
The suspects and vehicles used in these robberies appear to be involved in similar incidents in Fort Worth and Hurst. Our detectives are working closely with neighboring agencies to attempt to identify and locate these suspects. If anyone has information on these suspects, please contact the Haltom City Police Department at 817-222-7000.
