Closure Notice - City Hall & Public Works

COVID-19

Due to the large number of positive COVID-19 cases in Tarrant County, recent outbreaks in certain city facilities and out of concern for the safety of our citizens and employees, City administration decided to close City Hall and the Public Works facility to the public effective Monday, December 21, 2020.

Although these buildings are closed to walk-in traffic, all city services are still being delivered.

Date of Incident: Tuesday, Jul 7 2020
Time of Incident: 4:00 p.m.
Major Accident – 4100 E. Belknap St.

On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Haltom City officers responded to the 4100 block of East Belknap St. in reference to a major accident where motorcycle had struck a silver SUV. Upon arrival, officers located a male on the ground with major injuries. The driver of the motorcycle, later identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Officer as Asa Rape, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and passenger of the silver SUV were transported to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic Investigators made the scene and are investigating the cause of the accident. No arrests were made, and charges are not anticipated at this time.
