MEDIA ADVISORY/NEWS RELEASE
On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Haltom City Officers were dispatched to a report of a major accident in the 5100 block of SH 121 s/b. Upon arrival, they saw a red Ford Fusion that impacted the back of a white box truck. The Ford went under the rear deck of the box truck. Haltom City Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and began extricating the driver. The driver, a 36-year-old male from Euless, was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with life threatening injuries. The two occupants of the box truck were not injured. Witness stated that traffic on the highway had begun to slow due to a disabled vehicle on the right shoulder of the roadway. As the box truck slowed, the Ford did not slow and impacted the rear of the box truck. No charges are expected as a result of this collision.
