MEDIA ADVISORY/NEWS RELEASE
On Monday, June 22, 2020, at approximately 10:50 a.m., Haltom City officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 4800 block of NE 28th Street. Upon arrival, they found a 29-year-old male that had been shot in the abdomen with a handgun. The victim told officers that a white male wearing a tank top and jeans had shot him in the stomach. The victim was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery. The suspect fled the scene in a black Audi Q7. Detectives were called to the scene and have been in contact with the person that rented the black Audi. Through their investigation, they believe they have identified the suspect and are preparing a warrant for his arrest. The detectives believe this was an isolated incident as the victim and suspect knew each other.
This is an ongoing investigation, and as such, more information will be released when it comes available.
