MEDIA ADVISORY/NEWS RELEASE
On Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at approximately 5:40 p.m., Haltom City Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had run off the road and into the creek in the 6800 block of SH121 northbound on the service road. Upon arrival, officers observed a white 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup that had come to rest across the creek on the embankment. The vehicle had sustained major front end damage. The sole occupant was still inside the vehicle. Richland Hills and Haltom City firefighters and paramedics arrived on scene to tend to the driver’s injuries.
The driver, a white male in his late teens or early twenties, was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where he died as a result of his injuries. He will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once the family notifications have been made. No other vehicles appear to be involved.
