UPDATE (Aug 19, 2019):

David Burnell Conditt was arrested by the United States Marshal’s Office Task Force and the Charleston, South Carolina Sheriff’s Office on Monday, August 19, 2019. He was taken into custody without incident, and the victim’s vehicle was recovered. Conditt is currently being held in the Charleston County Detention Center pending extradition.

UPDATE (Aug 15, 2019):

Based on their investigation, Haltom City detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for David Burnell Conditt, 58 years of age, for the charge of Murder with a $500,000 bond. It is believed that he killed his twin sister, Dena Conditt Wright, 58 years of age, and fled the scene in the victim’s red 2015 Toyota RAV4 displaying Texas license plate GMJ2896. The arrest warrant affidavit will be available once the warrant has been served.

On Thursday, August 15, 2019, at 6:33 AM, Haltom City officers responded to a welfare check in the 5700 block of Macneill Drive. The complainant, who was not at the location, said that he had not spoken with the white female resident in a couple of days. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased 58 year old white female.

During the course of the investigation, officers identified a person of interest in this case, David Conditt, 58 years of age. Conditt is described as a white male approximately 5’10” tall weighing 240 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes. Conditt may be driving the victim’s vehicle, a red 2015 Toyota RAV4 with Texas license plate GMJ2896. Haltom City detectives would like to speak with Conditt. Anyone that knows the whereabouts of Conditt or the victim’s vehicle is asked to contact the Haltom City Police Department at 817- 281-1000 (Dispatch) or 817-222-7000 (main police department number). This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released, when available.
