This press release is a summary of the facts and circumstances known at the time. The incident is still actively being investigated so the information provided in this press release is subject to change. Additional details will be released to the public as they become available.

On December 6, 2018 at around 8:50 p.m., Haltom City officers were dispatched to the Carson Food Mart (2531 Carson St.) in reference to a robbery. Witnesses advised the suspects were seen leaving in a white Cadillac sedan. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle failed to yield and led officers on a short pursuit. The suspect lost control of the vehicle near the 3800 block of Airport Fwy. in Fort Worth. The suspect, along with three other occupants, exited the vehicle and began running on foot. Officers were able to quickly apprehend one of the suspects and place them under arrest.

The suspect was transported to the Joint Detention Facility in North Richland Hills on the charge of Aggravated Robbery, a first degree felony that carries a possible sentence of five to ninety-nine years. The arrested suspect’s information will be released once they have been arraigned by a magistrate. Detectives are investigating to determine what, if any, connection this suspect has to another robbery that occurred earlier in the evening. The other occupants of the vehicle were not located, but Haltom City and surrounding agencies are working together to follow-up on several leads. Information will be released as it becomes available.

If anyone has information regarding this incident, please contact Haltom City Police at 817-222-7000.
