CALL TO ORDER
Chair Adam called the meeting to order at 7:05PM
DETERMINATION OF QUORUM
PRESENT MEMBERS: Adam, Hantz, Lindgren, Ramsby, Teague
PRESENT ALTERNATES: Stallings
PRESENT COUNCIL LIAISON: Hilliard
ABSENT MEMBERS: Alcon, Handschuh ABSENT ALTERNATES: Beaty ABSENT COUNCIL LIAISON: None
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF PRESENT:
Glenna Batchelor, Director of Planning and Community Development Erik Smith, Assistant Director/Planning Projects Manager
Commissioner Stallings, seconded by Commissioner Ramsby, moved to excuse the absences of Commissioner Alcon and Commissioner Handschuh. Motion passed unanimously. Commission was advised that Commissioner Beaty has resigned.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Lindgren, seconded by Commissioner Stallings, moved to approve October 13, 2020 Planning and Zoning Commission minutes. Motion passed unanimously.
PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ACTION ITEMS
Regular Agenda Items
Consider action on the application of Beau Allen for a Conditional Use Permit request for Auto Paint and Body Shop in the “M-2” Heavy Industrial District located on Lot 13A, 14A & 15A & Parts of Alleys, Block 23, of the Watauga Addition, being approximately 0.3122 acres on the east side of Huddleston Street, locally known as 6100 Huddleston Street.
Staff presented and clarified the request.
The legal notice regarding the public hearing was published in the October 11, 2020 Fort Worth Star Telegram.
Written notice of the variance request was mailed to eight (8) property owners within 200' of the site on October 15, 2020. Staff received none (0) in favor or without objection, none (0) opposed, and none (0) returned to sender.
Chair Adam asked the applicant to come to the podium.
Beau Allen, 5900-100 Huddleston, Haltom City, Texas, 76137. Wants to expand his business. Previous tenant, Wade Wurdeman, is his friend that moved next door and he said his business tripled when he moved to this location.
Chair Adam opened the Public Hearing to those desiring to speak (7:11PM)

Commissioner Hantz asked if there will be landscape installed at this property.
Ms. Batchelor said that is addressed in Exhibit “A” of the Ordinance.
ACTION BY THE COMMISSION
Commissioner Stallings, seconded by Commissioner Teague, to approve the application of Beau Allen for a Conditional Use Permit request for Auto Paint and Body Shop in the “M-2” Heavy Industrial District located on Lot 13A, 14A & 15A & Parts of Alleys, Block 23, of the Watauga Addition, being approximately 0.3122 acres on the east side of Huddleston Street, locally known as 6100 Huddleston Street.
The motion passed 6-0-0.
Ms. Batchelor advised Commission that there will be a meeting on November 10, 2020.
