CALL TO ORDER
Chair Adam called the meeting to order at 7:05PM

Commissioner Lindgren, seconded by Commissioner Stallings, moved to excuse the absences of Commissioners Handschuch, Hantz and Teague. Motion passed unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Stallings, seconded by Commissioner Ramsby, moved to approve October 27, 2020 Planning and Zoning Commission minutes. Motion passed unanimously.
PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ACTION ITEMS

Application of John Clark requesting approval of a Conditional Use Permit for tattoo studio use in the “C-3” Commercial District, containing approximately 1,150 square feet of lease space on Lot 1R1, Block 1 of the Phillips Addition – Haltom City, being approximately 0.95 acres west of Denton Highway, locally known as 6101 Denton Highway, Suite C.
Staff presented and clarified the request.
The legal notice regarding the public hearing was published in the October 25, 2020 Fort Worth Star Telegram.
Written notice of the variance request was mailed to nine (9) property owners within 200' of the site on October 28, 2020. Staff received none (0) in favor or without objection, none (0) opposed, and one (1) returned to sender.
Chair Adam asked the applicant to come to the podium.
Nicholas Clark, 6101-C Denton Hwy, Haltom City, Texas, 76148. Nick and his brother John have been in business for eighteen (18) years and this will be their first shop. This will be a boutique, high end tattoo shop. They have established high end clientele and will not be doing any piercings.
Chair Adam asked if they will accept walk-ins.
Mr. Clark said yes. Mainly their business is by appointment and they are currently booked a month out. Now they do one to two appointments per day. No hanging out at property. Will have 4-5 artists.
Chair Adam opened the Public Hearing to those desiring to speak (7:14PM)

ACTION BY THE COMMISSION
Commissioner Stallings, seconded by Commissioner Lindgren, to approve the application of John Clark requesting approval of a Conditional Use Permit for tattoo studio use in the “C-3” Commercial District, containing approximately 1,150 square feet of lease space on Lot 1R1, Block 1 of the Phillips Addition – Haltom City, being approximately 0.95 acres west of Denton Highway, locally known as 6101 Denton Highway, Suite C.
The motion passed 4-0-0.
Ms. Batchelor advised Commission that there will not be a meeting on November 24, 2020.
