CITY OF HALTOM CITY  5024 Broadway Ave. Haltom City, Texas 76117  817-222-7700

As a result of Governor Abbott’s March 3, 2021 Executive Order ending the statewide mask mandate effective March 10, Haltom City employees and visitors to City facilities are not required to wear masks. We do encourage the wearing of masks by employees and citizens, and the City will continue practices such as social distancing and regular disinfecting of City facilities.

Adopt a Pet from Haltom City Animal Services

Haltom City Animal Services (HCAS) has a wonderful adoption program, and we invite you to consider our shelter when looking for your next pet. Available animals may be viewed during normal shelter hours. We also have a play yard and a play room where you can get to know your new best friend and find out if the match is right. Our Petfinder site, which lists some of the animals available for adoption at our shelter, is available for viewing by clicking the link above.

Based on age and health, most of our animals receive all necessary vaccinations before adoption.

  • $45 without a rabies vaccine
  • $60 with a rabies vaccine

All animals are required to be spayed or neutered after they are adopted, with documentation provided to the shelter. This is the responsibility of the adopter, and is required by both city and state laws.

You must be 18 or over, with a valid I.D. to adopt an animal. A legal contract is required for each adoption, and HCAS has the right to refuse adoption to anyone.
