As a result of Governor Abbott’s March 3, 2021 Executive Order ending the statewide mask mandate effective March 10, Haltom City employees and visitors to City facilities are not required to wear masks. We do encourage the wearing of masks by employees and citizens, and the City will continue practices such as social distancing and regular disinfecting of City facilities.

Little Fossil Park Renovation

little fossil park haltom city renovationThe grand opening for the renovated Little Fossil Park was held Saturday, March 29th. The renovated park, located at 4412 Hadley St., now has:

  • three tournament quality softball fields
  • new lighting system
  • new playground
  • new concession building
  • new restroom building
  • 85 additional parking spaces

The improvements to the park were made possible by funds from the 2010 bond election.

In anticipation of the new fields and improvements made to the facility the Haltom City Girl's Softball Association had more than 300 girls register for the 2014 season. This is the largest number of participants in league history.

Due to the park's proximity to Broadway Park and the three existing fields there, Haltom City also now has the opportunity to host larger softball and baseball tournaments.
