FIRE SERVICES BOARD

October 15, 2019

 

CALL TO ORDER

Chairperson Suzanne Norris called the meeting to order at 6:09 p.m.

INVOCATION

Betty Porter offered the Invocation.

 

ROLL CALL

PRESENT: Norris, Davenport, Porter, Gum, McConnell, Coffman, Dunbar, Geltmeier

ABSENT: None

STAFF: Deputy Chief Fred Napp

 

  1. CONSIDERATON AND/OR ACTION REGARDING THE APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 17, 2019 – it was moved by Geltmeier and seconded by Coffman to approve the minutes of September 17, 2019 as written. The motion prevailed unanimously.

     

  2. NEW BUSINESS

    Boards and Commission Banquet is October 29th at 6 p.m. at Diamond Oaks Country Club – please be sure and RSVP to Donna Pliska or Art Camacho. Halloween Carnival – October 26th at the Rec Center

    Christmas Dinner in the Bay is tentatively set for Friday, December 6th Fire Services Board would like to put together Goody bags for the kids –

    It was moved by Geltmeier and seconded by Porter to approve $250 be spent on Goody bags for the firefighter’s children. The Motion prevailed unanimously.

     

    Amy West is contacting “Santa” about coming to the dinner and the Association about providing the Bar-B-Q.

     

    Christmas on Broadway is Saturday, December 7th – Board members need to be there at 1:30 to set up.

     

    The December Board meeting will be dinner with the firefighters, Staff will contact Hoffbrau about getting cheeseburgers and brau chips.

  3. OLD BUSINESS

Open House Review

The Board sold $110 worth of the Back the Red tee shirts and received cash donations in the amount of $32.46.

 

Budget Update

New Budget is in place – more details at the October meeting.

 

Volunteer Hours

All Board members worked 4 hours at Open House; 1 hour for tonight’s meeting; David McConnell volunteered 10 hours to building projects.
