APRIL 16, 2019

CALL TO ORDER

Chairperson Suzanne Norris called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.

INVOCATION

Linda Thompson offered the Invocation

ROLL CALL

PRESENT: Norris, Davenport, Geltmeier, McConnell, Dunbar, Williams, Stokes

ABSENT: Coffman COUNCIL LIASON: Linda Thompson STAFF: Amy West

The Board Welcomed their newest appointee, Frankie Stokes.

  1. CONSIDERATION AND/OR ACTION REGARDING APPROVAL OF MINUTES March 19, 2019 - It was moved by Geltmeier seconded by Williams to approve the minutes of March 19, 2019 as written. The motion prevailed unanimously.

  2. NEW BUSINESS

    Junior Fire/Police Camp

    The Board discussed tee shirts for the 2019 Fire/Police Camp. It was decided that campers and workers will wear red tees. Vicki Hardin will embroidery on the Boonie hats the campers will wear. Staff ordered enough blue hard hats for the activities that a hard hat will need to be worn. Registration opens on May 1st.

    Sponsorships, of $250.00 and more will be on back of shirts. Police Department will provide a cook out on Friday and Kona Ice will be back this year.

    The Fire Departments portable sign will advertise the CERT water drive and then Camp.

    The Board discussed changing the Logo on the front of the tees for camp. They would like to include both the Fire and Police Association logos on the shirts this year.

  3. OLD BUSINESS

The Board did not attend the Carfest this year, due to weather.

BUDGET UPDATE

No Budget Update, the city’s computer have been down.

VOLUNTEER HOURS - All present log Volunteer hours for the meeting. Amy asked that all members count their volunteer hours and submit them to her as soon as they can.

ADJOURN – It was moved by Williams and seconded by Dunbar to adjourn the meeting at 6:55 p.m.
