JANUARY 15, 2019

Chairperson Suzanne Norris called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.

ROLL CALL

PRESENT: Norris, Davenport, Geltmeier, McConnell, Dunbar, Williams, Coffman

ABSENT: Austin

COUNCIL LIASON: Linda Thompson

STAFF: Fred Napp

  1. CONSIDERATION AND/OR ACTION REGARDING APPROVAL OF MINUTES November 20, 2018 - It was moved by Geltmeier and seconded by Williams to approve the minutes of November 20, 2018 as written. The motion prevailed unanimously.

  2. NEW BUSINESS

    2019 Annual Fire Banquet – March 2nd – Diamond Oaks Country Club – Invites are ordered, table decorations will cost approximately $250. Firefighters will go in February to choose menu. Postage stamps will be purchased before the price increase. Last year the Board spent $1000 on door prizes. Board and Fire Association will split the cost of the banquet again this year.

    It was decided to purchase $1000 in gift cards (Budgeted $1,000 for gift cards plus service fee charges) in the following amounts:

    1 @ $200

    3 @ $100

    10 @ $50

    14 gift cards

    Chief Jacobs to secure a speaker. Will know by February meeting. Discussed entertainment.

    CarFest is Saturday, April 6th.

    The Board discussed their responsibilities as an appointed Board. During an event, that they attend as a designated board, all members should have on clothing identifying them as a member of the Fire Services Board and remain with the other board members and assist in Fire Service Board duties. Please try to make all events.

    The Board discussed purchasing new shirts and possibly aprons.

  3. OLD BUSINESS BUDGET UPDATE

Chairperson Norris gave a Budget Update.

VOLUNTEER HOURS - All present log Volunteer hours for the meeting. Amy asked that all members count their volunteer hours and submit them to her as soon as they can.

ADJOURN – It was moved by Williams and seconded by Dunbar to adjourn the meeting at 6:40 p.m.
