What Will Change?

How Haltom City delivers water will remain the same; the change will be in how it manages that delivery. As part of the AMI implementations, Haltom City will replace nearly 10,000 water meters and retrofit another 3,000 with the new smart meters. In addition, residents will have access to FATHOM’s U2You platform, a cloud-based, web and mobile customer portal that empowers water utility customers with self-service water account management. U2You allows residents to track and manage their real-time water consumption, communicate with utility customer service and pay their water utility bills online. This payment portal can be found at https://haltomcitytx.gwfathom.com. A $2.50 convenience/processing fee will be applied to credit card/debit card payments.

A new customer online portal will be available to customers on June 18, 2018. Customers will need to login to reset their password. If you have a credit card set up for recurring payments, you will need to re-enroll in the new portal. Further instructions will be provided by mail. More information on this new portal can be found here. The new portal's URL will be haltomcitytx.gwfathom.com. Currently this URL redirects to the existing portal, but on June 18, 2018 the URL will re-direct to the new portal.

To set up a new water account, please call the FATHOM Customer Service phone number, 833-764-5239. New water accounts can be set up at the FATHOM Customer Service Center located on Stanley Keller Rd., but setting up a new account over the phone is faster and more convenient.

What Benefits Will Customers See From This Partnership?

With FATHOM’s suite of tools, residents will have detailed insight into their water use. Once logged into the FATHOM online customer portal platform on a computer, smartphone or tablet, homeowners can pay their bills, see their real-time water use and set personalized alerts. The FATHOM system will also alert residents to any events of unexpected high water use such as a leaking pipe or faulty sprinkler system. FATHOM will also open a local customer service center in Haltom City (5417 Stanley Keller Rd.) to provide residents with a physical location where they can pay bills and manage their accounts.

What Benefits Will the City See From This Partnership?

Thanks to the smart metering system, Haltom City will experience a reduction in water loss throughout its distribution system and savings in operational expenses.
