Haltom City Emergency Management Coordinator, Bryce Davis, was recently awarded the Certified Emergency Manager (CEM®) designation by the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM). The CEM® designation is the highest honor of professional achievement available from the IAEM.
The IAEM consists of over 6,000 emergency managers, representing professionals who promote admirable goals of saving lives and protecting property and the environment during emergencies and disasters. The IAEM Certification Commission receives and reviews the efforts of certain Emergency Managers who distinguish themselves during times of emergency crisis. The new class of CEM®'s join the 3,076 other emergency managers who were approved for the designation since January 1993, bringing the total number of Certified Emergency Managers to 3,092. Bryce Davis, who began his career with Haltom City in March of 2020, exemplified this conduct during the declared COVID-19 pandemic and during February 2021's Winter Storm Uri, demonstrating exceptional leadership, efficiency and knowledge.
The IAEM Certification Commission approved the awarding of Certified Emergency Manager credential to Bryce in exemplifying the true standards of an Emergency Management Coordinator.
