The Haltom City Public Library has been awarded the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association (TMLDA) Achievement in Library Excellence Award for the 14th year in a row.
To receive this recognition libraries must exhibit excellence in 10 categories:

- Enhanced Services
- Marketing Materials
- Programming
- Literacy Support
- Summer Reading Program
- Collaborative Efforts
- Workforce Development
- Digital Inclusion
- Staff Training
Of the 568 public library systems in Texas, the Haltom City Public Library is one of only 56 who earned this year's award. With this honor, the Haltom City Public Library is in the top 10% of all public libraries in the state.
