The Haltom City Junior Firefighter & Police Camp is a five day educational program taught by Haltom City firefighters and police officers. The camp, which will be held July 26-30, 2021, covers fire/EMS skills and other hands-on activities.
Eligible participants must be entering the 5th or 6th grade for the upcoming 2021-22 school year, with no exceptions. Registration is $125 per child, with sibling pairs paying $225. Campers will learn about teamwork, responsibility and leadership. Topics include fire science, fire extinguishers, first aid, CPR, search and rescue, vehicle extrication, hose operations and much more. The camp will take place at the Haltom City Central Fire Station, 5525 Broadway Ave. Price includes lunch each day, water and snacks, a camp t-shirt, ID/lanyard and a whole lot of fun! Participants are asked to bring good work gloves, sunblock, insect repellent and a lot of energy!
