Haltom City Community Relations strives to tell Haltom City’s story and all of the many community contributions relating to improving the quality of life for Haltom City residents. Public communication efforts, with particular emphasis on the City’s web and social media presence, help to engage our diverse city by actively connecting with the residents. Community Relations creates, plans and communicates programs to engage and support the residents. Duties also includes promoting community events, city economic development projects, volunteer and giving opportunities, and organizing community services and assistance programs.

In an effort to support the residents of Haltom City, Community Relations designee Julie Orebaugh represents them on various committees from the business, education, community health non-profit and faith-based sector that align with the city’s strategic goals and priorities.  Julie partners with city management and staff, community leaders and local organizations to recommend, engage and execute communication efforts to broaden the impact of the city's work. This also includes managing the production of internal and external materials, multi-media and publishing of the bi-monthly Haltom City Crossroads Newsletter.
