  • Christmas on Broadway

Starting with Paul (guest) and discussing Santa etiquette: Mr. and Mrs. Claus need more security and helpers to corral children and parents when taking pictures with their phone or cameras. Santa asks that a parent or another adult to place the children into Santa’s lap. All children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Christi agreed to have extra security and to have the older children standing or sitting next to Santa and Mrs. Claus. Denise and Toni will be doing the wheel and Wayne is working with NEED.

  • Old business / reports

Simple recycling – No report for October.

Art in the City – Wayne is concerned with how it’s not as it was originally set up to be. He states that Art in the City (AITC) is going to be for painting only and not arts and crafts/recycle arts. Christi said AITC is not a city-funded club, just like the Garden Club. They are a private entity. Wayne is concerned that this club was run by two people and not the whole club. When this club was set up, it was for anyone who did art and lived in Haltom City. Wayne stated that we need to go back and be open to anyone who lives in the City and start a new group. Christi suggested that the Board should hold their own craft show. We will wait until the January meeting and come up with some way to set up a committee for art and craft recycle shows.

  • Business of the Quarter

Birdi has talked to Wayne’s Boots and has a picture and will let us know further details.

  • Arbor Day – Friday Nov. 3rd

Denise reports great turn out with the Garden Club and Science Club students. Two trees were planted in Whites Branch Park.

  • Christmas Neighborhood Decorating - December 11 thru the 18

Christi has packets to be picked up. Zone 3 and Zone 5 have been changed. Denise – Zone 1 & 2

Birdi – Zone 3 Toni – Zone 4 & 6 Christi – Zone 5

Turn in results on December 18. Winners will be recognized at January Council Meeting. Adjourned at 7:27 PM
