Haltom City is thrilled to announce that the much-anticipated renovation of North Park, located at 5220 Denton Hwy., is officially underway! A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Sept 19, 2024. A ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony will be held on Saturday June 7, 2025. Details on the event will be posted here on the Haltom City website as well as on the Haltom City Parks & Recreation Facebook page.
Construction is currently underway, during which time North Park will be completely closed to the public. This closure includes the disc golf course. Once completed, the park will feature a 4-acre stocked fishing pond, an amphitheater, walking trails, improved parking, and a brand-new playground. The existing softball field and disc golf course will remain.
The renovation if funded in part by a matching grant from Texas Parks & Wildlife.
This renovation will create a park unlike any other in Haltom City, and we can’t wait to see it come to life. Construction is expected to be completed by spring 2025, with a grand opening celebration planned for May or June.
