The Fort Worth Crud Cruiser will be at the Haltom City Public Library on Saturday, March 8, 2025 between 9 - 11:00 a.m. accepting household hazardous waste from Haltom City residents. Please bring proof of residency (Driver License / water bill / electric bill, etc). When you arrive stay in your vehicle and staff will assist with retrieving of your household hazardous materials.
The Crud Cruiser accepts household hazardous waste items. Please see the list below for accepted items.
What's accepted by the Crud Cruiser?
- Automotive fluids
- Batteries
- Cleaners & chemicals
- Cooking oil
- Lawn/garden/pool chemicals
- Light bulbs
- Paint (max of 20 1-gallon cans) & painting supplies
- Used tires (4 max)
What’s NOT accepted by the Crud Cruiser?
- Ammunition & Explosives
- Appliances & electronics
- Building materials
- Bulk trash & yard waste
- Butane/propane cylinders
- Medical waste
- Asbestos/PCBs/radioactive items
Latex Paint collection will be limited to 20 gallons per household. If you have latex paint and need to dispose of it, you can dry it out by removing the lid or by using kitty litter or other absorbent. Once dry, latex paint can be thrown away with your household garbage. Paint must be thoroughly dry before it is thrown away.
