  • Mosquito Samples Tests + for WNV

    west nile virus preventionTarrant County Public Health (TCPH) has confirmed the presence of West Nile Virus (WNV) in mosquito samples collected in two areas within the City of  Haltom City. The first sample is from an area in Northeast Haltom City around Placid Dr. The second sample is from an area in east Haltom City around Diamond Oaks Drive South.

    Weather permitting, the City of Haltom City will begin ground spraying efforts in both locations Monday, July 27, 2015.

The event will take place from 6-10:00 p.m. on August 15th, 2015 at the library. Tickets are $45 and this event will sell out, so please buy your tickets as soon as possible!

Family Movie Night: August

hcpl family movie night august 2015Join us at the Haltom City Public Library on Monday, August 10th at 6:30 p.m. for Family Movie Night. Disney's "Dinosaur" will be the feature film in August.

After a pterodactyl snatches a dinosaur's egg & accidentally drops it, the egg is rescued by a family of lemurs. They raise the baby dinosaur, Aladar, as their own. When a giant meteor appears in the sky, Aladar & the lemurs must escape to a safer place.

Program: Dementia and Alzheimer's

Fall Youth Soccer Leagues

haltom city parks recreation logoHaltom City Parks & Recreation will be offering soccer for boys & girls, ages 3-12 this fall. Games will be played in Haltom City.

Cost is $45/player for the 6 & under league, $85/player for the 8 & under league and $95/player for the 10 and 12 and under league. Registration deadline is August 22. The season will start in September. Register now...online or in person at the Recreation Center.

Coaches and officials are needed.

Adult Fall Softball Registration

haltom city adult softballRegistration for the Haltom City Parks & Recreation Adult Fall Softball League begins August 3rd. Cost is $300 per team. Register early and save $20.

Men’s league will play on Friday nights. New leagues offered this fall will be on Sundays (co-ed) and Tuesdays (men’s church). All games are played at North Park.

Super Kids Summer Camp

Haltom City Parks & Recreation is offering a full day summer camp for kids ages 6-13. Camp will begin June 8 and run through August 14. Each week we will keep the kids active, involved, and entertained from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Arts and crafts, games, sports activities, movies, outdoor activities, and more will be offered.

Stage 1 Watering Restrictions In Effect

Under Stage 1 restrictions households and businesses are limited in sprinkler watering to two days per week with the two days determined by the address of the location. Violations are handled by Code Enforcement, 817-222-7732.

  • Residential addresses ending in an even number may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays
  • Residential addresses ending in an odd number may water on Thursdays and Sundays
  • All non-residential locations, such as apartment complexes, businesses, industries, parks, medians, etc. may water on Tuesdays and Fridays
  • No watering, regardless of address, may take place between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day
