    ne family 4th fireworks show haltom cityCome celebrate our country’s most patriotic holiday on Saturday, July 4th, at the annual Northeast Tarrant Family 4th Celebration and Fireworks Show.

    This year’s celebration will feature a free concert from 8-9:00 p.m., featuring contemporary country music singer Derek Anthony. Entertainment for the whole family will start at 5:00 p.m. with kid’s activities, a salute to veterans, stage performances of local talent and plenty of food and drink. At 9:30 p.m., enjoy the best fireworks show in the area.

  • 2015 Back to School Health Fair

Held at Haltom High School (mapped below) on Saturday, July 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the goal of this annual event is to supply up to 5,000 students with a new backpack and school supplies.

  • KHCB Earns Guinness World Record

    haltom city beautification guiness world recordOn Saturday, November 15th, 2014, a total of 60 volunteers worked diligently for 14.5 hours to set a new Guinness World Record for building the largest cardboard structure, made from 18,000 cardboard boxes. The sculpture was a replica of the original Birdville County Courthouse from 1855, sketched by Don Tipps and designed by architect Daniel Williams. The structure measured 41’3” long, 14’ high; 25’6” deep.

Book Sale Nets $2,800

haltom city library book saleThe 2015 Friends of the Haltom City Public Library book sale netted over $2,800. Thank you to the many volunteers who donated their time and hard work to the cause. These proceeds will be used for the Summer Reading Club and other library programs.

HCPL's 'Bots and Books

Develop your child's problem solving skills using Lego We-do Kits and a laptop computer. For children who are currently age 8 – 11 years old, these two classes will be held Wednesday, June 24th and Wednesday, July 1st from 2 - 4:00 p.m. Due to the popularity of these programs seating is limited to 12 participants per class. Children may participate in one class only.

Summer Adult Softball League

haltom city adult softballHaltom City Parks & Recreation's 2015 adult summer softball league is now registering teams through June 13th. Men's leagues will be played on Friday or Sunday nights, while co-ed is on Thursday nights. All games are played at North Park (377 & 820).

Register online through June 27th. The season begins the week of July 6th. Cost is $300/team.

Super Kids Summer Camp

We've Got a Class for You!

Haltom City Recreation Center - Zumba ClassThe Haltom City Recreation Center has a wide variety of classes available for all ages. For adults we have Bellydance, Tai Chi, Zumba, and Zumba Gold. For the kids we have Dance & Tumble, Preschool, Wing-Jitsu, and Goshin Karate (coming in March, 2014).

Stage 1 Watering Restrictions In Effect

Under Stage 1 restrictions households and businesses are limited in sprinkler watering to two days per week with the two days determined by the address of the location. Violations are handled by Code Enforcement, 817-222-7732.

  • Residential addresses ending in an even number may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays
  • Residential addresses ending in an odd number may water on Thursdays and Sundays
  • All non-residential locations, such as apartment complexes, businesses, industries, parks, medians, etc. may water on Tuesdays and Fridays
  • No watering, regardless of address, may take place between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day
