- Real-Time Monitoring, Leak Detection Are Some of the Benefits of New Water Utility Service
Haltom City & FathomTM Water Management, Inc. (Fathom), the utility-to-utility Smart Grid for Water technology leader, have announced a new partnership. Haltom City, the fifth municipality in Texas to adopt Fathom’s water management platform, will implement Fathom’s complete suite of software and managed services solutions to recover lost revenue and improve customer experiences. Fathom will also open a local customer service center in Haltom City to provide residents with a physical location where they can pay bills and manage their accounts.
Over the next few months, Fathom & Haltom City be will be installing new automated water meters that will communicate electronically and give Haltom City customers the ability to monitor their water usage and deliver important real-time information. Regular usage and usage spikes can be monitored and reported, providing citizens the opportunity to detect water leaks. The ability to detect leaks early can result in money savings for our customers. More details will be shared here on the City’s website as progress ensues.
“Haltom City is proud to serve as a role model for smart, responsible water use,” said Rex Phelps, Assistant City Manager of Haltom City. “Fathom’s software solutions will allow us to operate with greater efficiency, bill customers more accurately and deliver unparalleled customer support.
