Little Fossil Park Renovation
The grand opening for the renovated Little Fossil Park was held Saturday, March 29th. The renovated park, located at 4412 Hadley St., now has:
- three tournament quality softball fields
- new lighting system
- new playground
- new concession building
- new restroom building
- 85 additional parking spaces
The improvements to the park were made possible by funds from the 2010 bond election.
In anticipation of the new fields and improvements made to the facility the Haltom City Girl's Softball Association had more than 300 girls register for the 2014 season. This is the largest number of participants in league history.
Due to the park's proximity to Broadway Park and the three existing fields there, Haltom City also now has the opportunity to host larger softball and baseball tournaments.
