Spanish Square Shooting on Saturday, October 7, 2017

haltom city police logoOn Saturday, October 7, 2017 at around 7:40 p.m., Haltom City Police officers responded to the Spanish Square Apartments (2029 Dayton St.) in reference to a robbery. The victim stated five men with masks covering their face entered his apartment wielding handguns. The occupants of the apartment and the suspects exchanged gunfire, causing the suspects to flee the apartment. This left four people with gunshot wounds: three with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening and one in critical condition. The injured were given emergency aid by Haltom City officers and fire personnel until they were transported to John Peter Smith Hospital or Harris Methodist Hospital for treatment.At this time, we believe all suspects have been located and are in custody. The motive and relationship between the suspect sand victims are being explored. As this is still on-going investigation, information will be released as it becomes available.
