2017 Carfest - April 1

2017 haltom city carfest april 1The 8th annual 2017 Haltom City Carfest will be held on Saturday, April 1st from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Haltom High School, located at 5501 Haltom Rd. Carfest is a fun, family friendly event that showcases and entertains local car enthusiasts and our many automotive businesses, as well as offering free kids activities while raising money to purchase new school supplies and backpacks for Haltom City students for the 2017-2018 school year.

Carfest welcomes car, truck and motorcycle collectors and enthusiasts to showcase their ride for everyone to see and swoon over. Registering to show your car, truck or motorcycle is $25 and includes an event t-shirt, a Carfest commemorative dash plate, and trophies will be awarded. There are over 20 categories available to enter and the registration form can be downloaded here. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. and judging begins at 12:00 p.m. by the North Texas Street Cars Association. Miss Texas local titleholders will be our special guests to present trophies at 1:30 p.m. Each car registered sponsors one Haltom City student for the Back to School Health Fair.

Carfest will also have loads of free kids activities including inflatables, a petting zoo, temporary tattoos, a balloon twister, games, crafts, free goodie bags (while they last) and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. The Haltom City Police Department will be hosting a bike safety rodeo, as well as having some of their vehicles on display. The Haltom City Fire/Rescue Department will have their fire engine, and their Fire Safety House. Our Public Works Department will also have several of their city vehicles on display. Don’t miss checking out all of our local business and community booths on display. We will be announcing the winners of the Carfest Kids Coloring Contest and giving them their new bicycles and helmets at 1:15 p.m. The Tonemasters will be there to entertain us, as well as a special performance from the Haltom High School Drumline at 1:00 p.m., so don’t miss it!

Carfest is a fundraiser for Haltom City's annual Back to School Health Fair, where elementary and middle school students receive a backpack, grade specific school supplies, a vision screening, a keepsake family photo, as well as info from health agencies and community groups all for free.
