14 fido fundraiser haltom city animal services

Fourteen year old Haltom City teen (and Fox 4 News Hometown Hero) Brianna Fagan celebrated her 14th birthday with a party to benefit the Haltom City Nancy P. Watkins Animal Care and Adoption Center. Brianna has always loved animals and told her mom that this year, instead of having a 14th birthday party, she wanted to help homeless animals here in her hometown of Haltom City.

Her “Fourteen for Fido” event was held on April 16th at Russell Feed & Supply, located at 5000 E. Belknap. Russell Feed & Supply generously donated their space to hold her event. Instead of birthday gifts, Brianna asked her guests to donate to her animal fundraiser. With the help of her friends, family, sponsors and partygoers she raised $1,700, which she will present to the Haltom City Mayor and City Council at an upcoming Council meeting. All proceeds will benefit the Haltom City Animal Care and Adoption Center, which is located at 5312 Midway Rd. Brianna was featured by Fox 4 Hometown Hero’s about her fundraising event and her commitment to helping animals. Haltom City would like to thank Brianna for making a difference showing that resourcefulness, inspiration and a help from local businesses and volunteers can make a world of difference in your hometown.

If you feel you might be ready to adopt a cat or dog please contact the Haltom City Nancy P. Watkins Animal Care and Adoption Center to see if there might be one available for you.

Brianna and her mom Bridgit would like to say a special “thank you” to:
