  • HCFD Junior Summer Fire Camp

    haltom city firerescue logoThe Haltom City Junior Fire Camp is a five day educational program taught by Haltom City firefighters. The camp covers fire/EMS skills and other hands on activities. Campers will learn about teamwork, responsibility and leadership. Topics include fire science, fire extinguishers, first aid, CPR, search and rescue, vehicle extrication, hose operations and much more.

  • HC Spraygrounds Now Open

    haltom city spraygroundThe spraygrounds at Broadway Park & Whites Branch Park will be open for use on May 22nd. The spraygrounds will be operating seven days a week between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m through Labor Day weekend. Pavilions at these parks will not be available to rent during sprayground operating season.

  • Amendment to Zoning Ordinance

    haltom city fence ordinanceThe City Council will hold a public hearing on June 8, 2015, to consider Ordinance No. O-2015-007-15, an amendment to the City’s Zoning Ordinance. The proposed amendment regards fence, wall, and screening standards in all zoning districts and was drafted by the Haltom City’s Planning and Zoning Commission and City personnel in the Department of Planning and Community Development.

    haltom city police community service centerThe Haltom City Police Department's next monthly Community Watch Meeting will be on Monday, June 1st at 7:00 p.m., at the HCPD Community Services Center, 5265 Placid Dr. (mapped below) This month's guest presenter will be ACH Child & Family Services.

    These meetings are meant to educate the community about all the different programs available to assist people right here in our community. This is also a good time to make new contacts and friends in your community. Gather all your neighbors and come join us every first Monday of the Month for our Community Watch Meetings.

Sign Up for Email Notifications

Haltom City is starting an email notification service for citizens and business owners. This service will allow Haltom City staff to send out emails to those who choose to sign up for the service. There will be two email lists available to sign up to receive emails from...one for Haltom City citizens and another for Haltom City business owners.

Citizens can expect to receive information about special upcoming events/notifications. If you are a business owner you will receive information from the Economic Development Department that your business may find useful/beneficial.

Please be aware that this is not an emergency notification system.

Friends of HCPL's '15 Writing Contest

haltom city libraryThink you’ve got what it takes to be a writer? Here’s your chance to show off your talent. The Haltom City Public Library is hosting its 2015 Writing Contest.

The two categories include short story and poetry. and the contest is open to 5th graders on up to adults. The deadline for entry submissions is Saturday, May 30th, 2015. Entries may be submitted online here or dropped off at the Haltom City Public Library during operating hours.

Summer Adult Softball League

haltom city adult softballHaltom City Parks & Recreation's 2015 adult summer softball league is now registering teams through June 13th. Men's leagues will be played on Friday or Sunday nights, while co-ed is on Thursday nights. All games are played at North Park (377 & 820).

Register online between April 6th and May 30th. The season begins June 18th. Cost is $300/team.

Super Kids Summer Camp

Haltom City Parks & Recreation is offering a full day summer camp for ages 6-13 between Camp will begin June 8 and run through August 14. Each week we will keep the kids active, involved, and entertained from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Arts and crafts, games, sports activities, movies, outdoor activities, and more will be offered.

haltom city blast ball leagueBoys and girls ages 3-5 can join Blast Ball, a modified t-ball league. The season will last 6 weeks with one game and one practice per week.

Summer Hot Shots Basketball League

haltom city hot shots basketballBoys and girls ages 9-16 are sure to have a blast this summer during Haltom City Parks & Recreation's summer basketball league. Games and practices will be held at the Haltom City Recreation Center. The season is 6 weeks long and coaches are needed.

Register online between April 6th and May 30th. The season begins in late June. Cost is $45/player.

Stage 1 Watering Restrictions In Effect

Under Stage 1 restrictions households and businesses are limited in sprinkler watering to two days per week with the two days determined by the address of the location. Violations are handled by Code Enforcement, 817-222-7732.

  • Residential addresses ending in an even number may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays
  • Residential addresses ending in an odd number may water on Thursdays and Sundays
  • All non-residential locations, such as apartment complexes, businesses, industries, parks, medians, etc. may water on Tuesdays and Fridays
  • No watering, regardless of address, may take place between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day
