The election was held to fill Haltom City city council place 7 and re-authorization, via proposition, of the local sales and use tax at the rate of 1/4 of one percent to provide revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets.

Haltom City is starting an email notification service for citizens and business owners. This service will allow Haltom City staff to send out emails to those who choose to sign up for the service. There will be two email lists available to sign up to receive emails from...one for Haltom City citizens and another for Haltom City business owners.
Citizens can expect to receive information about special upcoming events/notifications. If you are a business owner you will receive information from the Economic Development Department that your business may find useful/beneficial.
Please be aware that this is not an emergency notification system.

Bedtime Holiday Storytime
The Haltom City Public Library will be holding a Holiday Storytime on Thursday, December 19th at the 6:30 p.m. Featured will be a puppet show, stories, holiday craft and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Wear pajamas and bring a camera!
January Movie Night
The first film featured in 2014 will be "Monsters University" on Monday, January 13th at 6:30 p.m. at the Haltom City Public Library. Released in 2013, "Monsters University" tells the story of the relationship between Mike and Sulley during their days at Monsters University, when they weren't necessarily the best of friends.

Little Fossil Park Renovation
Little Fossil Park is undergoing a renovation project funded by the 2010 bond election. The park will be transformed into a tournament quality girls softball complex with three new fields, new lights and 80 additional parking spaces. City crews are salvaging everything they can from the existing park and have begun the process of preparing the park for construction. Construction will begin in July and should be complete within 6 months.
The park is currently closed to the public until the project is completed.

Youth Basketball Now Registering
Lil’ Ballers is for boys & girls ages 4-6. The cost is $40 for a 6-week season. Players will have one practice and one game per week. Youth Basketball is for boys and girls ages 7 – 14 years old (as of Sept. 1, 2013) and the cost is $60. Birth certificates are required at time of registration. Season will begin in January and practices will begin in December. Coaches are needed for Lil’ Ballers and Youth Basketball.Read more...

All the fun of Zumba at a more friendly pace...low‐impact Zumba Gold is designed to improve overall health and balance, reduce stress, and improve your social life! This class is appropriate for all ages, including beginners, active older adults, and anyone looking for a fun, high‐energy workout that is easier on the body.
- Tuedays - 2:00-2:45 p.m.
- Thursdays - 5:15-6:00 p.m.
- Cost is $5/class or $25 for a 10-class punch card
- Instructor: Mike Colbert, certified Zumba instructor
