Watercolor Experience #12

The popular watercolor classes continue with Watercolor Experience #12 beginning Saturday, June 8th and continuing every Saturday in June.

Classes are held at the Haltom City Public Library on the above dates from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. Cost is $80 for three classes with a $30 deposit required upon registering. You may also choose to simply pay $22 per class.

"Dig in to Reading" This Summer

This summer be sure to "Dig in to Reading" at this year's HCPL Summer Reading Program. Come join us for a fun-filled summer of reading and special events between June 1st and July 19th!

The Summer Reading Program kickoff is Saturday, June 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Haltom City Public Library, located at 4809 Haltom Rd. The Pipdillys will appear in "Escape from Couch Potato Land", a musical comedy.

Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. is "Family Movie Night" and Friday at 2:00 p.m. is "Special Guest Friday".

Some late additions to the list of entertainers have been made, including the Ringling Brothers Clowns on Thursday, June 20th at 11:00 a.m. and the TCC Theater musical production of Beneath the Surface on Friday, July 19th at 10:30 a.m.

Book Sale Raises over $2,000

Free Summer Lunch Program

The free Summer Lunch program is back at the Haltom City Recreation Center. Free lunches are now available to children ages 1 to 18 at the Recreation Center from 12-1:00 p.m.

Summer Dance Classes Ages 3>

Summer Dance classes are being offered by the Haltom City Parks & Recreation Department. Each week of class offers a different theme for participants. Dancers will use props such as like pom poms, hula hoops and teddy bears while learning a new dance each week to perform for their parents.

  • Cost is $45/month
  • Ages 3 & up
  • Classes are held on Mondays from 7-8:00 p.m.
  • Special for June, because classes will only be held on 6/17 and 6/24 the cost is only $25...for both!
  • Ballet shoes are required

Join a Junior Golf Circuit

Do you have a junior golfer that needs more opportunities with tournament experience? The Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) now presents the 2013 Junior Golf Circuit. Golfers ages 8-18 are invited to join any tournament in the circuit at a cost of just $25/tournament. All golfers must be members of TAAF ($6 membership fee).

Tournament dates are June 18th and 25th, July 2nd, 9th and 26-27th.
