Utility customers recently received or may be receiving a notice outlining billing changes from Progressive / Waste Connections. Residential customers are asked to please disregard the aforementioned letter, as it was sent in error by the trash company. Your trash collection or refuse bill will still be calculated in your monthly water bills.
The City Council recently approved a $2.50 convenience fee for all credit/debit card payments for all City departments that take credit cards, effective March 16, 2017. This applies to all credit & debit card payments for water/sewer bills, municipal court fees, permit fees, library, recreation and all other payments.
The reason for adding the fee is to recoup the payment card interchange fees imposed by credit card processing companies. For FY2016, Haltom City paid approximately $150,000 for payment interchange fees.
The Haltom City Library will be hosting their Friends of the HCPL Annual Book Sale April 27-30, 2017. Both new and used books will be available. Donations of gently used books, DVDs, magazines are being accepted.

The first Saturday of each month, from 9 - 10:00 a.m., we explore different scientific concepts at the HCPL. There are hands-on activities appropriate for ages 6 – 12. It’s free and there is no registration. The topic on May 6. 2017 will be Geology!
The Haltom City Public Library and the Haltom Senior Center present a "Sing-Along Afternoon". Join us to watch a musical and sing along to The Music Man. The musical will be presented on May 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the library, located at 4809 Haltom Rd.

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a new program geared specifically towards teen patrons. TAB is a meeting of teenage patrons once a month to discuss future teen programs here at the Haltom City Public Library. The purpose of TAB is to allow teenage patrons an opportunity to voice their opinions about how they feel teen programs are going and make suggestions to improve the programs.
For the time being we request only high school student to participate in TAB...middle school students will be invited to attend in the future. Teen patrons who participate can earn a community service hour and enjoy a snack. We meet the last Wednesday of each month from 4 - 5:00 p.m. at the library. Join us for our 2017 Super Kids Summer Camp, filled with sports, crafts, spraygrounds, field trips and more. For ages 6-13, the camp runs during weekdays, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., between June 5th and August 11th. The cost is $100/week, plus a one-time nonrefundable $25 registration fee. Get your teams ready for a great day of golf for a great cause by participating in our 6th Annual Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament on May 5, 2017. All proceeds will benefit the Back to School Health Fair and will help us purchase backpacks and school supplies for students in Haltom City.
Two flights are offered:
Mayors 4-man scramble (Mayors, City Managers, and Mayoral designee will team up for a chance to win the traveling Mayor’s Cup)
Friends 4-man scramble (supporters, sponsors, and friends)
The tournament will take place Friday, May 5th (Cinco de Mayo) at the Golf Club at Fossil Creek with a shotgun start at 2:00 p.m. Cost is $100/person or $300/team and includes green fees, range balls, cart with GPS and fiesta dinner following the tournament. Mulligan packages and raffle tickets will also be sold. Sponsors are still needed, please contact Christi Pruitt at 817-831-6464.

Haltom City and the Veterans Memorial Committee would like to thank Randy Haefli & Component Construction Company for their generous donation to the Veterans Memorial Park fund. Component Construction Company of Haltom City was the first business to donate to the fund, which will support the construction and maintenance of the Haltom City Veteran’s Memorial at Haltom Road Park.
Donations can be made through your Haltom City utility bill or by contacting the City Manager’s office. An online form (also embedded below) is available if you would like to donate to this fund or any of the five others listed. A recurring donation (minimum .50) will be deducted monthly from your bill. If you would like to make a one-time donation please contact the City Manager's office.
The Haltom City Parks & Recreation Department is looking for instructors of new classes that can be offered to citizens at the Recreation Center.
Do you have the knowledge and the passion to teach others? Become an instructor at the Haltom Recreation Center and get paid to do what you love. We are currently accepting class and camp proposals for youth and adult activities, including fitness, fine arts, and specialty programs.
