Clarification to Sign Regulations Ordinance

After finding conflicts with the enforcement of Sections 82-5.b.4.e.1.c  and 82-5b.4.f.1.d of Chapter 82 Sign Regulations in the Haltom City Code of Ordinances, the Department of Planning and Community Development will not enforce a maximum of one attached sign per nonresidential lot of record.

Per Section 82-7 Prohibitions of Chapter 82 Sign Regulations in the Haltom City Code of Ordinances, roof signs are prohibited and Section 82-2 Definitions defines a roof sign as any sign erected, constructed, or maintained on or above the roof of a building.  The Department of Planning and Community Development does not find this regulation to prohibit a sign attached to a mansard fascia.

The Department of Planning and Community Development finds Section 82-8.b.1 of the Sign Regulations to state interior signs seen behind window panes are subject to provisions of Section 82-3, 82-7, and 82-10; while signs on or covering the exterior of a window pane are not expressly permitted in the City.
