The City Council recently approved a $2.50 convenience fee for all credit/debit card payments for all City departments that take credit cards, effective March 16, 2017. This applies to all credit & debit card payments for water/sewer bills, municipal court fees, permit fees, library, recreation and all other payments.

The reason for adding the fee is to recoup the payment card interchange fees imposed by credit card processing companies. For FY2016, Haltom City paid approximately $150,000 for payment interchange fees.


Stage 1 Watering Restrictions in Effect

Due to the likelihood and the persistence of drought conditions throughout North Texas and the anticipated increase in demands going into the summer, the Tarrant Regional Water District has determined that the best way to conserve the areas water supplies until the drought ends is to initiate Stage 1 of our drought plan. Stage 1 restrictions were initiated June 3rd, 2013.

Under Stage 1 restrictions households and businesses are limited in sprinkler watering to two days per week with the two days determined by the address of the location.

Residential addresses ending in an even number may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays while residential addresses ending in an odd number may water on Thursdays and Sundays. All non-residential locations, such as apartment complexes, businesses, industries, parks, medians, etc. may water on Tuesdays and Fridays. No watering, regardless of address, may take place between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day.

Hand watering and the use of soaker hoses or drip irrigation systems, for things such as foundations, is allowed for up to two hours on any day.

Haltom City Utility Billing

haltom city utility billingA division of the Customer Service Department, Utility Billing serves as the initiation and billing center for water utilities which includes sewer and refuse. Utility Billing handles service setup, billing, revenue collection, customer inquiries, problem resolution and complaint processing.

Utility Billing is the Haltom City's central cashier for processing all revenue transactions and bank deposits for all other City departments. Primary responsibilities include; insuring the accurate and timely billing and collection for services provided, assisting new and current residents with utility services, to notify refuse contractors of missed pickups and to resolve complaints to the best of our ability while preserving the requirements set by Haltom City ordinances. The daily overriding goal for each staff member of this division is to treat all customers in a friendly and fair manner.
