20th Anniversary Images of Haltom City Photo Contest Selects its 12 Winners

The 20th Annual Images of Haltom City Photo Contest, a community tradition, is now “history.” Judges have selected 12 winning photographs. The 2008 contest attracted a total of 271 entries, which will all be on display starting Monday, April7th at the Haltom City Public Library, 3201 Friendly Lane. Landry Lewis, a senior at Trinity High School, turned in the best of show photo, chosen from among those taken in Haltom City.

The location of the photo, as was the case last year, is Haltom City’s Central Fire Station. The subject for 2007 was a solitary firefighter’s helmet. This year’s Best of Show photograph, taken by Landry Lewis, is a black and white photo of a line of firefighters facing away from the camera. Winning photographs will be published in the Haltom City Community Calendar for 2009. The photos will remain on display at the library through the end of April. An awards program will take place April 29th, 6:30PM at the Haltom City Recreation Center.
