A new online crime reporting service promises to put the pulse of neighborhood criminal activity at your fingertips. The Haltom City Police Department is one of three law enforcement agencies in the State of Texas that have agreed to send their police reports to CrimeReports.com, where they will be posted online in the form of an interactive map. Thefts,burglaries, murders, sex offenses and other crimes are all displayed on a map. The website also reports on registered sex offenders living in the community. Daily, weekly or monthly alerts can also be sent by e-mail.

The website is free to citizens and the Police Department is paying the cost of having the information updated.

The information on the website will allow Haltom City residents and business owners to become more vigilant about crime at the local level. The Haltom City Police Department is pleased to offer the community a program that will allow everyone to remain in touch with what is going on in their community.
