The Haltom City Police Department Traffic Unit enforces traffic laws and investigates accidents on our City streets; it consists of 4 Police Officers supervised by a Police Corporal. Four of the officers are assigned to ride police motorcycles, and one works traffic duties from a regularly marked police vehicle. Most of the officers in the unit are specially trained and certified in Accident Reconstruction, and they are frequently called upon to work serious accidents and those involving fatalities. The Traffic Unit also participates in State and Federally funded Selective Traffic Enforcement Programs (STEP) that assist in the reduction of accidents and injuries.
Traffic concerns or questions can be left on the Traffic Hotline at 817 222-7049.
