Patrol Officers respond to 911 calls-for-service, enforce laws, apprehend criminals, and provide services intended to promote safe and livable neighborhoods for the citizens of Haltom City. These officers are the most visible to citizens and are the first responders when a citizen calls 911 and asks for police services. Officers assigned to Patrol are divided into four platoons that work twelve-hour shifts and patrol the City’s twelve square miles providing 911 responses to approximately 40,000 citizens.
