Police Chief Keith R. Lane brings twenty-two years of police experience to Haltom City.
He comes from Keller Police Department where he served twelve years in patrol and was a member of the Bicycle Unit and the SWAT team. He was a Defensive Tactics Instructor for twelve years and a member of the regional Child Abduction Response Team (CART). He has spent the last ten years in Criminal Investigations and retired from Keller as the Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Chief Lane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Texas State University, a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University, and is also a graduate of the Leadership Command College at Sam Houston State University. Chief Lane has two teenage sons, Nick and Gage.
Assistant Police Chief Patrick Bridges grew up in North Richland Hills and attended Birdville Schools.
He began his law enforcement career in 1984 and has served the Alvin and Richland Hills Police
Departments. He has served as an Arlington patrol officer, a field training officer and an auto theft detective. He has also served in patrol and managed the department’s gang unit. Bridges has been a lieutenant in Arlington for the past 10 years. As lieutenant he served as a patrol commander and commander of training. His experience covers management in personnel and recruiting. He has been the traffic section commander and commander of covert operations.
He earned a master’s degree in human relations & business from Amberton University, and he is a graduate of the Southwest Law Enforcement School of Police Supervision & the Leadership Command College at the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas.
