The Parks and Recreation department puts on several events throughout the year.

The annual Haltom Stampede 5K & 1 mile races are always held on the 2nd Saturday in February. Join us for a brisk morning run/walk through our community. Proceeds benefit our Parks and Recreation Department programs.

Our annual SpringFest is held on a Saturday each April. The event, held at Broadway Park, has grown over the years. Bounce houses, games, food, live music, and much more is packed into a fun-filled afternoon.

Each year, the Recreation Center houses a safe, fun-filled Halloween Carnival for our community. Bounce houses, games, spooky stories, and much more fill the gyms and rooms of the Recreation Center for a night of family fun on Halloween.

Finally, join us to kick off the holiday season at our annual Christmas Tree Lighting. This event is sure to get everyone in the spirit of the season. Holiday crafts, games, carriage rides, entertainment from local choirs, and of course, Santa, round out this festive event. The lighting of our 30-foot Christmas tree signals the start of our holiday season!
