Fire Chief Wes Rhodes
has been with Haltom City Fire/Rescue for twenty-two years. He started with Haltom City in 1986 as a firefighter, working in that capacity until 1993 when he was promoted to Lieutenant. He held the Lieutenant position for six years before promoting to Captain in 1999. In 2002 he was appointed Deputy Chief of Operations. In 2007, Chief Rhodes was appointed, by the City Manager, to serve as Fire Chief of Haltom City. In addition to his Chief duties, Chief Rhodes has taught at Tarrant County College's Fire Academy instructing future firefighters in Live Fire, Basic Fire, and Swift Water Operations. Chief Rhodes holds an Associates Degree in Fire Technology from Tarrant County College. He and his wife, Mary, have two children.
