(HC 4/1/11) The Haltom City Economic Development Corporation has partnered with Tarrant County College Northeast (TCC) in renovating the Haltom City Civic Center to make it suitable for continuing education classes.

The Civic Center, which is located at 3201 Friendly Lane, is an advantageous location with ample space to increase TCC class offerings, in particular, courses pertinent to businesses, students, and community residents. Programs expected to be offered include pharmacy tech certification, emergency medical services, ESL courses, computer courses and small business management.

TCC is expected to renovate about half of the 17,000 square foot building for classes. The other half of the building will be available to the community as a rental facility. First day of classes is anticipated to begin on June 1st, 2011.
